Today I, along with my parents and brother, Mark, flew out to Philip's house in Colorado.  My oldest nephew, Caleb, is getting baptized on January 2, and we all wanted to support him and his important decision.  Additionally, I had not yet visited Philip and Mindy since they moved to Colorado in August 2009.  It isn't necessarily the best time weather-wise to visit, but Caleb trumps weather this time around.

Michael and Kristen and kids drove up from Las Vegas, so our New Year's Eve celebration centered around the kids.  Mindy got the fun stuff for the kids - big punching balloons and horns - and made the Latteier family traditional New Year's Eve quiche.  As with many families with young kids, New Year's Eve came to the house at about 8:25 p.m.  Thanks to YouTube, we found a video of an Australian New Year's Eve celebration, so we had a countdown and everything.
