12 : long day

4:45 a.m.  - Rise and shine?  I arose.  I did not shine.
5:30 a.m.  - Leave for work.  Take KT's car... mine needs an oil change.
5:40 a.m.  - Realize Kate re-set all the radio buttons to KIIS fm.  Ick.
5:41 a.m.  - Re-set all the radio buttons.
6:10 a.m.  - Stop at the Norco 6th St. Jack-In-The-Box fir a medium Diet Coke.  I need a boost.
6:45 a.m.  - Arrive at work.
6:50 a.m.  - Start responding to emails.  What's with all the stupid questions?
8:15 a.m.  - Set up for our training meeting.
8:18 a.m.  - Wonder where all the handouts are.  I put the request in a week ago!  Call the Ops people.
8:30 a.m.  - The first training session of the day begins.
8:40 a.m.  - The handouts arrive.  Geez.
10:25 a.m. - First session ends.
10:30 a.m. - Next session begins.  Not even enough time to hit the loo.
12:00 p.m. - Training ends.  Grab lunch at the deli next door.  I'm talked into getting the teriyaki bowl.
12:10 p.m.- Eat at my desk.  The teriyaki bowl wasn't good.  Return a few emails and prep for next week's training.  Where the heck did my printouts go?
1:15 p.m.  - Fetch more handouts from the Ops dept.  Lug the bin full up the stairs.  I should have taken the mail-dude's offer to take them up for me.
1:30 p.m.  - Last session of the day.
3:30 p.m.  - Done.  Whew.  I hate doing this.
3:36 p.m.  - Discuss training feedback with boss.  Need to make some updates.
4:04 p.m.  - Leave the office.
4:06 p.m.  - Eat three pieces of chocolate (Hershey's dark with almonds) and sit in traffic.  Not a good day to be driving the stick-shift.
4:39 p.m.  - Wonder why there's such crappy music on the radio (forgot to bring the iPod cord into KT's car).
4:45 p.m.  - Feel the start of a throbbing headache in my left temple.
5:19 p.m.  - That "Paparazzi" song is super lame.  Is she singing about being a stalker?
5:24 p.m.  - Realize that the headlights in this car aren't automatic like in my car.  Oops.
5:26 p.m.  - Change the radio station.  The Cult.  Much better.  Whatever happened to The Cult?
5:29 p.m.  - Arrive at my exit.
5:35 p.m.  - Stop at Albertson's.  Need an appetizer for tonight's Young Women activity (a progressive dinner).
5:45 p.m.  - Decide on a cop-out appetizer - hummus and pita chips.
5:48 p.m.  - Remember to turn on headlights.
6:00 p.m.  - Pick up the Beehive president, Natalie, for BYC.
6:15 p.m.  - BYC with Bishop & John.  All the presidents are there.  Impressive.
7:00 p.m.  - Leave for stop #1 of the progressive dinner.
7:15 p.m.  - Arrive... only 15 minutes late, but they waited for us.  The girls are hungry.
7:40 p.m.  - On to house #2.  Taco bar.  Wonder how it's possible the girls can drink so much pink lemonade.  I made five 2-quart pitchers!
8:10 p.m.  - House #3 (Bishop's house).  Sundae bar.  Add a brownie, oreos, and chocolate sauce to mine, please.  The more chocolate the better!
8:50 p.m.  - The activity is over, but stay at Bishop's house to have a quick Presidency meeting.  Meant to discuss New Beginnings, but got REALLY sidetracked on the roadshow.
9:40 p.m.  - Back to New Beginnings...
10:00 p.m. - Wrapping up.  New Beginnings planned... but got sidetracked on roadshow again.
10:07 p.m. - Hit the road.  We probably overstayed our welcome, but Bishop and Charlene seemed to be enjoying American Idol.
10:18 p.m. - Home.  FINALLY!
10:20 p.m. - Headed straight for this:
1-12-10

  1. I'll have to agree about the paparazzi song, however, it's my boys favorite. Ryder is even in on it..it's a little disturbing to hear him sing all the lyrics to that and the "Bad Romance" song. what ever happened to Barney and the Wiggles at 5? (that's for kids who don't have older siblings!)
