226 : new TV

After nearly two years of no television reception, of having to watch shows online on an uncomfortable plastic chair, of huddling around a computer screen, of missing another Shark Week, we decided to do it. FiOS TV. It only makes sense. Apparently, I've been paying $96 a month for local phone and internet service. Verizon's current deal of $99/month for the triple bundle made it a no-brainer. Add the HD home media box and I'm only paying $10 more per month.

But, we couldn't do HD FiOS TV with our current TV situation - a 27" tube TV that was just as deep as it was wide. So, with the help of a friend with a connection, we are now proud owners of a 46" LCD flat screen. And thanks to my two youngest brothers, we now have a 46" flat screen mounted on the newly constructed wall.

You can see the atrocious old TV in the bottom right corner. It now resides in Connor's room.

  1. Dang, I had no idea. I should have put them to work when they visited! I bet you will LOVE it! Grant & I aren't really into TV technology. We've bought exactly 2 TV's in 18 years: one was $10 on Craigslist, and the other was a flat screen from Grant's customer a couple of years ago. It's nice to be able to see the actual players when watching football! :)
